The commands to commit patches and purge the rollback data are:
cleanup: `cleanup -c 1` cleans the superseeded patches. I don't think it
does what I was looking for, as far as I know it removes patch data no
longer needed. But it sure did give some space back.
swmodify: `swmodify -x patch_commit=true <patch>` was what I was looking
for. It has the problem that it needs the specification of the patch to
commit. I found a list of patches in the /var/adm/sw/save. So `cd
/var/adm/sw/save; swmodify -x patch_commit=true *` should do what I asked.
The best tip I got was to avoid this saved data (and force a commit on
install) is `touch /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE` However, this has the
'problem' the patches cannot be rolled-back.

Subject: [HPADM] /var filesystem full: clean/purch patch undo stuff
Hi,
I'm stuck with a HP-UX 11 box with a /var filesystem which is 100% in use
(after/during patching) I know the patches store 'undo' data and such. I
cannot find the command/option to purge this undo information to get some
space back on /var.
I've found the subdirectory where the stuff is but I know just removing the
stuff is not the proper way.
